I run a group for the wives stationed here called Wives at Robins AFB. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=41710171564 We do monthly lunches so that new ladies can get out, and make some new friends, and so we can all socialize. There is also a Mommy & Me group that meets once a week.
The area:
The area is ok. There is not a lot to do unless you go to Macon or Atlanta. Macon is about 20-30 minutes away dpending on what part you go to. And can also be pretty dangerous, so you have to make sure you go to the right areas and do not go at night. There is a newly bult nice outdoor mall, that has some great shops and a barnes and noble. Atlanta is about an hour and half away dpending on the traffic. Tons to do there as well including shopping, Ikea, and the World of Coca-cola.
The are a ton of restaurants. Pretty much every corner has some place you can eat, and a lot of international food places as well. Some favorites include Olive Garden, Outback, O?｢どｨび｢Charley?｢どｨび｢s, Longhorn, Cheddar?｢どｨび｢s and Cracker Barrel.
